SIZING - Support pad is 5.5 wide. Straps (including support pad) adjust from 38 - 60 long. See sizing chart image for how to measure. Size should be determined by Pad Width and Strap Length, not the weight of your dog. The cutout in the support pad accommodates most medium to giant breed male dogs as well as MEDIUM-SIZED FEMALE dogs. The 5.5 inch pad width is between the Large Female (7.5 inches) and Small Female (4 inches) sizes. For tall lean dogs, consider our Tall Male size
